Daily reports

Each child's day, written as it goes: mood, meals, nap, activities and a note for the family. The office sees which reports are missing, and the parent reads it as soon as it is sent, before pickup.

The pictures are screens from the demo, a school of made-up children and parents, as the school's portal and the website show them today, on a computer and on a phone.

Writes the class's day, child by child

The day's page sorts the children of their classes into who is away today, who needs a report and who is done. When a parent has said their child is staying home, the child is already among the absent with the parent's words, and the absence is recorded in one tap.
“Write next report” opens the report of the first child who has none, and “Save & next” moves on to the next.
In the report everything is a choice: how the day went (five moods, with ready phrases), how long they slept, each meal as “all”, “some” or “none”, the activities. Words are typed only where there is something to say, as in the note for the parent.
The text is written in Greek, in English or in both. The parent reads it in their own language, or in the other when only that was written.
The report saves itself as it is written. Below, it says what is still missing (“Missing: mood, nap, meals”), and sending opens once nothing is.
It is signed with the name the teacher set once in their account's settings, and that is what the parent sees under the note.
With “Whole class at once”, mood, meals and nap are set for every child in one table: one tap fills only the blank fields, and the exceptions are corrected on their own row. The completed ones are sent all together.

Sees which reports are missing

The day's reports, for the whole school or one class: how many are complete, which children have none yet and who is away.
Writes or completes a report as a teacher does, or the whole class in one table, and sends them.
In History, finds the reports of any period, by class, drafts or sent.
In Settings, chooses what a report holds. Mood, meals, nap, activities and a note are on from the start. Toilet visits, medicine, a health note and outdoor time are there if the school wants them, and so are timed entries for bottles, snacks and nappy changes.
When two people change the same report at the same time, neither writes over the other unseen: the second save shows both versions.
Every report written, changed or sent is in the activity log: who, when and which fields changed, without what they say.

Reads how the day went

As soon as the report is sent, it is on “Today”: how the day went, what was eaten, how long the nap was, what the class did and the teacher's note.
The notice of the new report is in Notifications. Those with the app also get it on their phone, with only the child's first name and nothing from the report, since it shows on a locked screen too.
A draft never reaches a parent, and each parent sees only their own children.
Earlier days are one arrow back, to the start of the school year.
From “Tell the school” they say their child won't be in, today or the next school day, with a note if they like. The teacher finds it in that day's reports, among the absent.

What was sent stays as it was sent

A sent report cannot be changed or deleted. What the parent read is what the school keeps.

What it does not do

So you know what to expect before you start.

It does not correct a sent report: If something was written wrong, it stays, and a correction cannot be added to the report. The school has to tell the parent another way.
It fills in nothing by itself: It does not copy the day before, and what nobody filled in stays blank. Nor does the class's table write over what was already written.
The sections are the same for every class: What the office turns on appears in every class of the school. A teacher can leave an optional section out of one report, not make one of their own.
It sends no email: The parent learns of the report in the website's Notifications, or on their phone if they have the app.
A parent does not reply to a report: There is no conversation under a report. A parent writes in the class's chat, or talks to the school as always.

The demo opens on the reports, in the browser: the teacher and the office in the portal, the parent on the website. It is a school of made-up children, yours alone, which deletes itself.
